A Year’s Gone By

It’s been more than a year since my last post. In the first post I did on this blog, I mentioned that I start many things but don’t finish or maintain it. True to my word, I lost interest in writing this blog. I have no idea why. I don’t want to try to explain it either. The only thing I wanna say is that right now, I wanna start writing on this blog again.

A lot has happened since January 2007.

– Pokemon Diamond came out in April. 200 hours of gameplay later, I stopped playing it.

– I took money out of my savings to buy a Macbook Pro.

– I went to a club and got drunk for the first time, after which I vowed never to drink again. ‘Course, I broke that vow, not surprisingly.

– I transfered back to my old college, Chabot where I started taking Architecture classes.

– I have a newborn nephew, Isaiah, born January 18th. The first grandson of my dad!

– Spent New Year’s Eve in the Philippines, where I had the best vacation ever. We went all over the country from North Luzon, all the way to Visaya/Boracay. Next time I want to go to Mindanao! I also saw my family for the first time in 4 years, and met some of my young nieces and nephews I never met before. I can’t wait to go back!

Cel-shaded Room

Cel-Shaded Room

This is a real hotel room that that has every surface shaded to make it cartoon-like. To top it off, black outlines are painted onto the corners to make it look even more like a cartoon. If they had one with a theme suited to men, and maybe a Miyazaki theme then I would sleep at that hotel just for fun!

Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan

I went to go watch this movie on Friday with Hanna, Jenn Kim, and Lila. We ate at some Thai restaurant because we had a lot of time to kill and I ended up ordering something really nasty (Ginger Chicken). When we got to the theater an hour before the showing, there was already a huge line, which I didn’t expect for such an obscure movie.

Since the showing was all sold out, it was sorta crazy. The guards were yelling all over to keep the line somewhat organized. To make it worse, when we got our seats the air system was broken or something so it got really stuffy with about 200+ other people breathing the same recycled air.

First (and last) post!

2 11 2006

Ceremonial first post. This will be my third blog that I’ve attempted. My Livejournal is dead and all the other ones are lost. I will be posting random things my mind can think of, things that I want to buy(but can’t), funny videos or pictures that I find, pictures that I’ve taken myself, things happening in my life, and so on.

When I first started my Livejournal I wanted to practice writing(because back then I sort of wanted to be a writer) so I used a lot of big words and fancy phrases. I will try not to do that, but I want to make anyone reading this(all -3 of you) to at least not have a headache reading it, and perhaps find it interesting? I want to make it enjoyable to write and read for myself, too. So yeah, screw you.

I hope I can keep up with this blog and not abandon it like the others. Off I go!
